Richard Vidlička

A graduate of the University of Economics in Prague, Faculty of Business, and Katz Business School at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2004, he joined the CEZ Group as a Project Manager, where he participated in the Vision 2008 project and managed network investment, budgeting and standardization at CEZ Distribuce. In 2010, he was appointed CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CEZ Distribuce. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of ČSRES, worked in the structures of the Czech Association of Employers in the Energy Sector and in the supervisory board of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and, last but not least, in energy institutions within the EU. He supported the introduction of "smart technologies" in the distribution system and participated in the successful completion of the Smart Region Vrchlabí project. In 2018, he joined the parent company of the ČEZ Group as manager of European projects and innovations. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the Commission for Distribution and Market Rules at Eurelectric. Richard Vidlička participated in the management of several international projects – Interflex, OneNet, etc. Since 2020, he has been the Director and Member of the Board of Directors of the Czech Association of Employers in the Energy Sector. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of the Largest European Distributors – E.DSO. He represents distribution companies in the ETIP SNET and EU DSO Entity.
