Introduction
In the Czech Republic, a significant share of coal-fired generation is approaching the end of its operational lifetime, while new investments in generation capacity and infrastructure are characterised by long development timelines and high capital intensity. At the same time, a new European and national framework is emerging, aimed at addressing key challenges related to energy security, affordability, and sustainability. At this year’s LMF, we seek to create a platform for an open, expert-led discussion on the conditions that will be decisive for investment in the domestic energy sector and industry in the coming years. The discussion will focus on how to navigate these changes from the perspectives of the public sector, investors, and end customers, and how to respond to evolving market rules, investment signals, and risk allocation mechanisms. Conference participants will be provided not only with the necessary strategic and regulatory context, but also with the opportunity to actively engage in the debate, exchange perspectives, and benchmark their strategies against those of other market leaders facing comparable decisions and uncertainties.
TOPIC
THE FUTURE OF INVESTMENT IN THE CZECH ENERGY SECTOR
The maximum number of participants of the meeting in the hall in Ostrava will be 90 people. Throughout the meeting, 32 speakers, who form the so-called permanent panel, will be actively engaged in the discussions. Two speakers will be selected to open each session with a presentation for which they will have 10 minutes to present a maximum of 10 slides on the basic content of the topic which will then be discussed.

THE VENUE
The conference will be held in the premises of the Lower Vítkovice National Industrial Heritage Site, known under its original name of Stará koupelna (Old Bathhouse), currently the Brick House. It is a club space co-founded by the famous musician and artist Vladimir 518.
If the epidemic situation is not favorable, the discussions will be held on selected online platforms. Discussions will be held in Czech with simultaneous interpreting into English if necessary
