He studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Electrical Engineering with a focus on economics and energy management. In 1995 he started working in the field of information technology. He has been working in the energy sector since 1998. From 2004 to 2012 he worked as the Director of the Department of Electricity of the ERO. In 2005-2008 he chaired the Market Participants Committee at OTE. Since 2012, as a manager at Ernst & Young, he has been involved in modelling and designing various aspects of the electricity market. He has also been involved in strategic consulting for energy companies in the Czech Republic and the CEE region, in particular analyses of the impact of European and national legislation on market participants, design of tariff models and issues related to the use of new technologies and processes in the energy sector. On 1 August 2019, he was appointed Chairman of the ERO Council.
